Arizona Orthopedic Physical Therapy, or AZOPT, was opened in 2007 in Goodyear, Arizona. We wanted to provide a more personalized, hands-on approach to physical therapy. After working many years for other companies, we knew there was a better approach to physical therapy than packing a therapist’s schedule and using techs to guide the patients’ experiences. At AZOPT, everyone should have the opportunity to Feel Better, Function Better, and Live Better. This is why AZOPT only employs highly educated and licensed therapists – no techs, no aides, no assistants. With more direct contact from an AZOPT physical therapist, patients experience a higher quality of service, more effective and efficient appointments, continuum of care, and immediate program modifications to meet goals. AZOPT therapists prefer to use their best tool – their hands. They spend more time utilizing manual therapy techniques designed to reduce overall pain, release scar tissue, and improve blood flow at the tissue level. AZOPT Prescott will be led by Doctor of Physical Therapy Matt Flanigan. Matt joined AZOPT in 2016 at the Goodyear location, and we are thrilled he will remain part of the AZOPT Family at this new location. We believe in Matt, and are confident in his experience treating all populations from school-aged children to Geriatrics. He is certified in Dry Needling and Blood Flow Restriction. Matt has also spent time treating in a variety of settings, such as home health, outpatient, inpatient rehab, and an industrial/ergonomic clinic. We are very honored and thrilled to be a part of the growing Prescott Chamber of Commerce and are looking forward to becoming entrenched in the Prescott community. Our hope is that when people have pain or limitations that are keeping them from doing the things they need to do, or want to do, they will think of AZOPT, and know our team is dedicated to helping you return to those activities as quickly, and safely, as possible.
