Ecosa Institute is a non-profit educational organization in Prescott, AZ providing college-level semesters in ecological design since 1999. Local faculty and guest speakers instruct students with an ecological take on architecture, nature, and design of all types from products to buildings to systems to landscapes to fashion and communication. Proud owners of 65 acres in Prescott's iconic Granite Dells, Ecosa plans to place 46 acres into a Conservation Easement for the protection and preservation of its natural ecologies in perpetuity. On the remaining acres, Ecosa plans to build a living building education center. As an armature for bird, bat and insect species, the building will reflect Ecosa Institute's Design with Nature philosophies and be fully self-generating and self-contained.
