The Solstice Flute Camp and Concert began with the vision to build community inspired by the heart song of the Native American style flute. Our mission is to honor the tradition of the Native Flute, celebrate its voice, and share its healing power within a supportive, inclusive community. Since our beginning as the Summer Solstice Flute School in 2013, our community has grown to include award-winning recording artists, Native healers, and aspiring students – beginning players to master-level performers – from around the world. Our origins are in the beautiful state of Utah. In 2023, we gathered at Chapel Rock Camp and Conference Center, located in beautiful and historic Prescott, Arizona which has now become our permanent home. In 2018, we took the leap and became a 501.c.3 community-funded nonprofit organization as ‘Where Passion Meets Purpose’ which presents the Solstice Flute School & Festival. We are wholly organized and run by dedicated volunteers and overseen by a board of directors. Our name was created as it represents not only our passion for playing this healing instrument, but our search to discover our own purpose of how we can use its song to enrich our own lives and the lives of others.
Celebrate the Child Within and join us at Solstice Flute Camp, a unique, fun and transformative 5 day immersive learning experience filled with a Multitude of Magic Moments! World-renowned instructors and students from throughout the country will gather in Prescott, a historic, high desert oasis in Arizona. Learning tracks are tailored for those new to the Native flute, intermed iate players gaining confidence and mastery, and advanced and master level musicians. We end our camp with a final farewell at a concert performed by our award winning artists that is open to the public at Trinity Presbyterian Church.
